I’ll get straight to the point here, Habib Guerrero is someone everyone should know. He is kind, funny, thoughtful, extremely intelligent and as I said during our wedding vows, “really, really good looking.” Yes, I have the extreme pleasure of introducing you to my Husband for today’s Meet My Network blog series.

For those of you wondering, “Hmm, Habib is an interesting name, I wonder where he’s from?” let me share some interesting facts about this man.

Habib was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia and was named after his grandfather who immigrated from Beirut, Lebanon. Habib grew up learning English and French and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Before graduating Habib played for Colombia’s National VolleyBall Team and it was there that he was scouted and became a successful model for top brands such as Coca-Cola, Tommy Hilfiger and others. But, this pretty face and athletic man was destined for greater things. In 1997 he was offered a full scholarship to earn a Master’s of Science degree from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Twenty years later Habib has never looked back and credits this scholarship and his family’s support to his professional successes and the privilege of becoming an American Citizen.

After earning his Master’s in Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering and completing 2 courses short of another master’s degree in computer science, Habib has worked for some of the largest and most successful Natural Gas and Oil Companies in the world. His work started off as a Drilling Service Engineer and Reservoir Engineer with Schlumberger Oilfield Services, followed by becoming the Operations Engineer for Robert L. Bayless Prodcer LLC and currently Habib is the Director of Drilling and Completions Engineering with Inflection Energy LLC.

Habib is one of the most passionate and dedicated professionals I’ve ever known. He wakes up every day with a smile on his face to lead his team and always goes above and beyond to give 150% of himself. I’ve never once heard Habib complain about work, even when he gets numerous calls during all hours of the night. If his company gave out awards I’m confident that he’d be awarded many things, but he would take the reign for best attitude and hardest worker.

When Habib is not working you can find him on the rugby field, at his crossfit gym, spending time with family and friends and enjoying live music and beer! He is an incredible dancer and is always the life of any party.

On a more personal note, Habib is my greatest support, my strongest cheerleader and has enabled me to follow my dreams and go after my goals. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today, personally or professionally, if it weren’t for Habib and I am beyond blessed to call this man my Husband and my friend.
