Kind, compassionate, thoughtful, smart, savvy, fun and hard working are all words one could use to describe Joyce Feustel. I met Joyce nearly 4 years ago at an Alternative Business Networking Group meeting (ABNG) and she was the first person to approach me after the meeting with keen interest in who I am, why I do what I do and of course to find time to have a 1:1 coffee.
A few weeks later when we met for coffee it took all of 7 seconds for an authentic bond to form between us and I’m honored to say that Joyce has become a dear friend and support system of mine.
Joyce epitomizes the networking mantra I try to live by which is, “Strategic networking is about serving and helping others, while also knowing how others can support our own needs. Being able to start any networking conversation with an open mind and heart lays the foundation for strong relationships and that is what real networking is all about.”

A strong connector and ‘go-giver’ for sure, Joyce is much more than that! Joyce is the Founder and CEO of BOOMERS’ Social Media Tutor where she provides customized social media tutoring and social media training. Her clients include small business owners and others who want to be more effective and productive with social media. The sites she specializes in are: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Joyce is also a gifted speaker who has been a member of Toastmasters International for over 21 years and is a trainer and leads many groups who are seeking help and clarity around their social media challenges. In addition to running her business and working with her clients, Joyce is an Instructor at Colorado Free University and leads a bi-monthly networking meeting for the Lakewood ABNG chapter.
As if that wasn’t enough Joyce also offers a free monthly MeetUp event called, Simply Your Social Media, where anyone can come to ask questions, get feedback and learn in a safe group setting about how to utilize social media for professional endeavors.
I’ve had the pleasure of watching Joyce share her social media knowledge with my own MeetUp Group, #inspired5280, where she presented, “How to Use LinkedIn To Enhance Face to Face Networking!” The room was packed and everyone walked away with greater knowledge and confidence in how they can utilize social media to ‘up their networking presence and game’.
When Joyce isn’t working, connecting, teaching or making strategic introductions for others (which she does often) she is a wife, a proud mother of two grown daughters and perhaps more importantly she is the proud Grandmother to a precious granddaughter!
Joyce, thank you for being such a positive force in my life and for supporting me personally and professionally. Your energy radiates so much kindness, which is something our world really needs right now. I’m so lucky to not only call you someone who I ‘network with’, but more importantly a friend and mentor.
